Take a look at Parkwood’s skilled craftsmen machining a lock and the hinges on a Duramax composite door to illustrate how it’s done just like a timber door.

Duramax stock doors can be buzzed, trimmed, bogged, sanded, and drilled just like a timber door. The PVC edge is easy to work with and is quite malleable. Their skin can chip during trimming, so we recommend either pre-scoring along the trim line or masking the faces before trimming. All standard size designs in stock can be trimmed up to 10mm off every edge.
When it comes to painting the Duramax door, the only difference from a timber door may be the primer, although a lot of primers nowadays work on fibreglass. We highly recommend Dulux Precision Maximum Strength Adhesion Primer.
